Gratitude, Community, and Why The Mind Card Exists

Every Thanksgiving, we’re reminded of the people and moments that anchor us. Family, friends, traditions, warm kitchens, quiet mornings. But there’s another layer to gratitude that often goes unseen- the gratitude we feel when someone shows up for us in a season we didn’t know how to navigate alone.

That kind of support is powerful.
And it’s rare.
And it’s the reason The Mind Card exists.

Too many people in our community want therapy but can’t afford it. High deductibles, limited coverage, and long waitlists make mental health care feel out of reach. Not because people don’t want help, but because the system makes access harder than it should be.

This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for something simple: the chance to help someone say “yes” to care.

The Mind Card helps subsidize therapy sessions for people who are ready to do the work but can’t get through the financial barrier in front of them. One session is $50. Six sessions is $300. This helps reduce out of pocket costs, either partially or completely. And every dollar goes directly toward giving someone access to care … real care, with licensed therapists who believe in their clients.

If you feel grateful for the people who showed up for you this year, I hope you’ll help us show up for someone else.

Therapy shouldn’t be a luxury.
Not here. Not now. Not ever.

Give if you can.

And thank you for being part of this beginning.
